I became interested in Duran Duran in about 1982 and have followed them ever since. I love the catchy songs, exotic videos and the band members themselves. I’ve always found Duran Duran have been able to keep up and still put out great music. To me, they are and will always be GOAT.

Simon Le Bon’s Mansion Renovation: Bigger, Bolder, and Full of Grandkids

A Rock Star Mansion Fit for a Glam Dad

It’s hard to imagine Simon Le Bon knee-deep in home renovation projects, but that’s been the reality at his stunning 10-bedroom Victorian mansion in Putney, southwest London. Since the ‘90s, Simon and his wife, supermodel Yasmin, have called this home, and over the years, they’ve transformed their estate, making it an asset to the neighborhood and contributing to the area’s charm and appeal.

What began with a 107-square-meter dining room and garage extension soon led to a stunning 15-meter pool. As their family grew, so did the estate. In 2014, the Le Bons transformed six bedrooms into three luxurious suites, making the space more modern and functional. This year, they’re adding a new pool house and bathroom.

This renovation isn’t just about flashy upgrades—it’s about family because all of the Le Bon daughters live there too. Simon recently joked that his kids and grandkids have practically taken over. “We’ve got the grandchildren living at the end of the garden,” Simon admitted. Taro and Skye, the sons of middle-sister Saffron, are already keeping things busy, and now with firstborn Amber expecting a baby, the Le Bon family estate is expanding just in time.

Welcome to Putney

Putney, tucked along the left bank of the River Thames, is one of London’s best-kept secrets—a leafy, tranquil neighborhood that feels miles away from the hustle of the city, but is actually just 10 minutes from the world-famous Wimbledon. Despite being part of one of the biggest cities in the world, Putney has retained a quaint, village-like vibe. The high street is filled with cozy pubs, independent cafés, and boutique shops, giving the area a warm, community feel. You’ll also find your fair share of upmarket eateries and traditional pubs—The Spencer Arms and The Boathouse are local favorites where you can grab a pint or a Sunday roast with a view.

It’s the kind of place where a rock star glamdaddy can enjoy some peace and quiet.
