When it comes to fusing fashion with rock ‘n’ roll swagger, John Taylor has never missed a beat. The Duran Duran co-founder and style chameleon has always treated clothes the way he treats music — as a form of self-expression: a little rebellious, and blazing hot. And while Duran Duran recently bottled their essence with Xerjoff fragrances, John is now channeling his creativity into something tactile: JT x PM, an offbeat, high-style, low-pressure athleisure line co-created with longtime collaborator and Punk Masters founder Patty Palazzo.

For those in the Duranie inner circle, Patty is no stranger.
This multi-talented designer has been orbiting John’s creative universe since the mid-nineties, lending her sharp eye to everything from web design and band merch to the very branding of Juicy Couture (co-founded by John’s wife, Gela Nash-Taylor) and its edgier sibling, Dirty English.
Side note… anyone who follows Gela on Instagram knows that it’s more like John is Gela’s husband vs. Gela being John’s wife, but we digress…

Patty Palazzo: The Master Punk Behind Punk Masters
Akron, Ohio native Patty Palazzo has been immersed in the worlds of art, music, and fashion since day one. Armed with a BFA in Graphic Design from Kent State, she landed in Los Angeles in 1995, and ended up wearing multiple hats for John and Duran Duran. From webmistress and photographer to merchandiser and sounding board, she has played a key role in John’s online presence, including his Trust The Process website, CD packaging and merchandise. Her design prowess also extended to the fashion realm, where she co-created the iconic logo for Juicy Couture and contributed extensively to their women’s and men’s lines. Since 2003, Palazzo has been a consistent visual collaborator for Duran Duran, crafting logos, tour merchandise, and even stage wear. A self-proclaimed “t-shirt junkie,” she launched her own hand-screened line, Punk Masters (named with a nod to Taylor), in 2009, playfully fusing classic art with punk rock energy. With John Taylor and the entire band frequently sporting her creations, Palazzo’s unique vision has become an integral part of the Duran Duran aesthetic
Dada, Judith, Shit Show, and Chic As Fuck
JT x PM isn’t about chasing fleeting trends; it’s about comfortable, graphic-driven essentials designed with the dedicated fan in mind. The first collection launched in spring 2024 and has grown to include cozy tees, worn-in sweatshirts, effortlessly cool hoodies and joggers, even pint-sized threads inspired by John’s grandkids. But don’t mistake comfort for blandness because signature irreverence has been stamped all over the recent collections. From the playfully bold “Chic as Fuck” or a tongue-in-cheek “Shit Show”, this ain’t your average Ann Taylor church attire. Other standouts from previous collections include “Judith Victorious” which riffs on a 16th-century painting by Lucas Cranach the Elder. Palazzo first unearthed the image for a Juicy Couture men’s shirt co-designed with JT. Now, it resurfaces as a fierce, feminist homage to strength and survival, something she and John have both embodied in their careers. There’s also JT x PM’s “Dada Disco” tee that pulls from a book called Rap Tees that John gifted Palazzo, merging absurdist 1920s Dada art with old-school hip-hop and a splash of Gucci.
Even the packaging tells a story. Orders often arrive with festival-style wristbands, postcards, stickers, and — because it’s JT — a little touch of backstage flair. One band-inspired wristband even mimics the kind John still wears from Duran Duran’s Cruel World set in 2024.
Patty likes every collection to have a moment with JT in it, something from my 20s when I was cute and drunk.
John Taylor to The Hollywood Reporter

The Latest Collection Dropped May 7th
It’s a good thing that new collections keep coming. John told The Hollywood Reporter that he may or may not have a bit of a wardrobe fetish. “I need a lot of clothes,” he said. “I’ve always loved clothes for activities… Pilates, cycling, bass practice — there’s a look for each.”
This obsessive love of style shows up in the new line’s variety — coordinated sweat sets, graffiti-style bubble logos, hoodies with cheek, and tees that quote art history and club nights in equal measure. And for fans looking to go full JT-mode? The next phase of JT x PM includes matching suits you can wear from the Soho House to your sofa without missing a beat.
As Palazzo puts it, “We’re working toward a complete look.”

Punk Masters: Not Just a Label — A Movement
While John brings the rockstar sensibility, it’s Patty who brings the pulse of the punk DIY ethos. Punk Masters is more than a brand, it’s a platform where music, art, and streetwear collide. Her aesthetic blends vintage rebellion with modern wit, pulling from everything from Renaissance art to graffiti fonts, with nods to feminist icons and musical legends alike. Her perspective as a longtime Duran Duran fan herself is integral to the brand’s authenticity and value. She’s not about inflated prices; she’s about delivering quality goods at a reasonable cost, understanding what fellow devotees truly appreciate.
What makes JT x PM even more special is the hands-on approach. Each piece is lovingly hand-screened by Palazzo herself, operating out of her apartment. This DIY spirit keeps the brand in a near-constant state of pre-order, adding to the exclusivity and the feeling of direct connection to the creators. And it’s not just about looking good; a portion of every sale since the very first drop has been dedicated to supporting victims of the Eaton and Palisades fires in Los Angeles, proving that style can indeed have substance.
So, Duranies, wear your fandom on your sleeve – literally – and check out the latest from JT x PM.
