We didn’t find you. You found us.
On our TVs, our radios, in bedrooms plastered with posters, on our acid-washed jackets covered in buttons, you were the wild spark that lit something reckless and so hungered in us and made us Duranies.
Simon with his poetry, Nick with his big ideas, John with his effortless cool, Roger with his steady rhythm, Andy with his fire, and later, Warren with his grit, and Dom with his grace. You lit up our world with color, style, and sound, and we never stopped looking and listening.

Simon, your words spoke to us.
Whether dancing on the sand or into the fire, you’ve always given us the space to find our own meaning – and our own way.
Thank you.

John, you were the pulse that moved us.
You rose from the ashes and became one of the world’s best, showing us that true greatness comes from perseverance and passion.
You’re amazing.

Roger, steady, quiet, essential.
You gave us rhythm even when we didn’t know we needed it. You reminded us that sometimes stepping away is how we find our way back home.
We’re glad you’re back.

Nick, you helped us see art in everything.
And when you raise your camera to capture the crowd after every show, you remind us that we’re not just part of the audience… we’re part of the story.
We’re grateful.

Andy, you are thunder.
Raw and real and unforgettable. Your energy still pulses through Duran’s music, but no matter how brilliant the rest, there will always be an Andy-shaped ache.
You’ll always have our love and support.

Warren, you are wildfire.
Electric, fearless, and unapologetically bold. You helped redefine Duran’s sound for a new era, and the echoes of your guitar still linger in our hearts and some of the band’s most beloved songs.
You left your mark, and it was awesome.

Dom, you walked into a legacy and never once tripped.
You honored what was while adding your own truth, and we love the way you carried the torch.
Thank you for stepping in, not to replace, but to continue.
From our preteen summers, sunburned and carefree, with Rio playing on radios, to blasting Notorious on repeat in college dorms where the walls were too thin and the music too loud, we grew up with you. We camped out at arenas hoping to get front row at your live shows. Perfect Day played at our weddings. Ordinary World helped us grieve. And when we became parents and sang Reach Up For The Sunrise in our minivans, windows down, kids in the back, the words and the music reminded us of what it meant to be alive.
We are proud to be Duranies.
Proud of every solo journey and side project — from Power Station and Arcadia to Neurotic Outsiders, TV Mania, Grey Lady of the Sea, I Do What I Do, and Take It Easy, From Interference, In the Pleasure Groove, and Wild Boy: My Life in Duran Duran to NeoRio and Black Moonlight, WHOOOSH!, and JT x PM. From Roger’s DJ sets to John’s film and TV roles — every note, every word, every performance, every creation, every risk — became part of the soundtrack that shaped who you are, and who we became.
And along the way, you gave us something we never expected — each other. Because of you, we’ve found lifelong friends, soul sisters and brothers, chosen families bound together by music, laughter, love – and glitter.
You weren’t just our favorite band. You were our escape hatch.
The place we ran to when we needed to come undone.
Our party when we needed to dance…
Our tears when we needed to feel…
And our rebellion when we needed to bolt.
You were the constant running through our stories. And, after all these years, you’re still writing new chapters. Evolving, surviving, dazzling.
Just like us.
So here’s to the music that shaped us, the memories that bind us, and the magic that never faded.
THANK YOU.
