We get this question. A lot. It’s as if Simon Le Bon is the one true Le Bon, the supreme, all-powerful Le Bon, and every other Le Bon in existence is just a distant echo of his greatness. And honestly? We get it. We might personally believe that Simon reigns over the Le Bon multiverse, but we have a feeling the other Le Bons of the world—like, say, Charlotte Le Bon—might have a few things to say about that.
So, is Charlotte Le Bon secretly Simon’s long-lost cousin, a distant relative, or another family member moving into the sprawling Le Bon estate?
Let’s get to the bottom of this once and for all.
Charlotte Le Bon is a French-Canadian actress, director, and artist, celebrated for her dynamic presence both on-screen and in the art world. Born on September 4, 1986, in Montreal, Quebec, she is the daughter of actors Brigitte Paquette and Richard Le Bon. From an early age, Charlotte was immersed in the creative arts, which paved the way for her multifaceted career.
She is NOT related to Simon Le Bon.
At 16, Charlotte embarked on a modeling career, leaving Canada at 19 to work internationally in cities like Tokyo and New York. Despite her success, she found modeling unfulfilling, stating, “I was a model for eight years and really hated it.” In 2010, she moved to Paris and transitioned to television, becoming the charismatic “Miss Météo” on Canal+’s “Le Grand Journal,” where her humorous weather segments garnered widespread attention.
Charlotte’s on-screen debut came with the 2012 French comedy “Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia.” She gained further acclaim portraying Victoire Doutreleau in the biographical film “Yves Saint Laurent” (2014), earning a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her versatility shone through in Hollywood with roles in “The Hundred-Foot Journey” (2014) alongside Helen Mirren, and as Annie in Robert Zemeckis’s “The Walk” (2015).
Beyond acting, Charlotte is a passionate artist. She made her directorial debut with the short film “Judith Hotel,” which premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Her first feature film, “Falcon Lake,” premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and earned her the Emerging Canadian Director award at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Charlotte is bilingual in French and English and resides in Paris. She continues to explore her artistic passions, including illustration and street art, often blending her love for visual arts with her cinematic endeavors.
