The 1998 fan-favorite compilation finally spins on wax — in fabulous white
“Greatest” Gets the Deluxe Treatment
Duran Duran’s Greatest is finally coming to vinyl. Yes, the same Greatest you blasted on your Discman or maybe rewound on your VHS (respect). Originally released in November 1998, this “best of” was a shiny, updated version of the 1989 Decade compilation — and now, over two decades later, it’s getting the glow-up it deserves. Duranies say hallelujah!
For the first time ever, Greatest will be available on limited-edition white vinyl with a chic embossed cover, making it a must-have centerpiece for your record collection (or your shrine to the Fab Five and Sometimes Four).
When Greatest first dropped in 1998, it hit CD, cassette, minidisc, and even VHS. A DVD followed later, but vinyl? Not until now. Despite being nearly 27 years old, Greatest is still the most recent official “best of” collection from the band. So yes, your prayers to the Duran gods have been answered — on two LPs, no less.
Fun fact: Greatest was EMI’s first swing at monetizing Duran Duran’s massive back catalog after their split post-Medazzaland. As a UK bonus, “Electric Barbarella” dropped as a single to support the release.
By 2008, Greatest had moved over 1.3 million copies in the U.S. alone and earned a Platinum certification. And while it remains their top-selling compilation to date, die-hards still await a complete singles collection that spans the entire discography.

What’s On the Tracklist?
This 19-track banger brings together hits from Duran Duran’s first eight studio albums (1981–1997), plus some standalone legends. Here’s a quick walk down memory lane:

- Bond fans, don’t fret — “A View To A Kill” is locked and loaded.
- It adds “New Moon on Monday” from Seven and the Ragged Tiger.
- Plus, four defining ’90s singles, including heartbreak anthems “Ordinary World” and “Come Undone.”
Basically, it’s the musical equivalent to the band itself: timeless, iconic, and way cooler than just about anything else on your shelf.
