Duran Duran Headline 2026 BST Hyde Park Show

Don’t call it a comeback.

Wait, actually, you can totally call it a comeback. Because back in 2020, the Durans were slated to play Hyde Park with Gwen Stefani and Nile Rodgers & Chic. Then… well, COVID had other plans and collectively said “not tonight.”

The show eventually resurfaced in 2022, where the band did what they always do: walked onstage like they invented the concept of outdoor concerts and delivered a set that made half the crowd scream and the other half (after watching him do that double kick thing) Google “how old is Simon Le Bon.” (For those of you who do not retain random DD facts, Simon was born October 27, 1958, which makes him 67 as of this writing.)

This time, in 2026, they’re coming in with more momentum: a sold‑out Future Past tour, a Halloween‑themed creative renaissance, a Vegas residency, a European run, and — maybe even new music on the horizon.

“We’ve never stopped writing — we just don’t always tell people,” said Simon Le Bon.

Whatever, Simon. We WILL find out. We have our ways.

Danse Macabre Era

Before Danse Macabre showed up, Duran Duran were already in a strong creative place. Future Past had reconnected them to a more electronic, modern sound, brought in new collaborators, and introduced them to an entirely new generation via TikTok doing what TikTok does.

But instead of following that up with a safe, logical next step… they pivoted with Danse Macabre (2023), and its 2024 deluxe expansion, – a full-blown detour into the dark corners of their imaginations. They pulled in everyone from Måneskin to stage crossovers with Sabrina Carpenter, because at this point why not?

Halloween-core? Sure.
Conceptual overdrive? Absolutely.
Brilliant covers and collaborations? Obviously.

“It’s a celebration of everything deliciously dark in our DNA,” said Nick Rhodes.

Which is a very Nick Rhodes way of saying: we’re still experimenting, deal with it.

Future Past Wins New Fans

Future Past (2021), the album that features guest appearances by Tove Lo, Ivorian Doll, Japanese band Chai, and Mike Garson, Blur’s Graham Coxon, was a total Duran-style banger of an album. Working with Erol Alkan and Giorgio Moroder, the band not only revisited their signature sound but they also re-engineered it for the modern fan. Tracks like Invisible became an accidental gaming crossover moment when it become the unofficial soundtrack to approximately eight million Metal Gear Solid edits.

You couldn’t plan that if you tried. And they definitely didn’t.

“We’re always looking forward musically, even when we’re celebrating the past,” said Nick Rhodes. “Otherwise, what’s the point?”

Exactly, Nick. Although, to be fair—even if there was no point, we’d still be here buying tickets, limited vinyls, and $25 themed cocktails.

But I digress.

The Power Station at 40: Will Hyde Park Get a Surprise on the Setlist?

Power Station’s debut turns 40 in the 2025–2026 window. Could this mean that some of us will like it hot and sweat when we hear Simon belt out a PS tune? Let’s hope so. John Taylor has always spoken about that project with a kind of mischievous affection, and with Andy Taylor recently back in the creative mix for Danse Macabre, the stars are aligned for a one‑night resurrection.

No confirmation yet — but the timing is too perfect to ignore.

“Those songs still feel dangerous to play,” John Taylor once said. “They’ve got teeth.”

And Hyde Park is the perfect place to take a bite. Just sayin…

Scissor Sisters: The Perfect Agents of Chaos

Scissor Sisters. a band that, like Duran Duran, blended musical talent with theatricality with glam glam perfection.

They built their reputation in the early 2000s pulling from disco and club culture, then found a massive audience in the UK — far bigger than in the U.S. Their debut album became one of the UK’s best-sellers of the decade, and songs like Take Your Mama and I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ have never really left rotation. Their 2025 reunion run made it clear they’re not easing back in. UK arena dates sold out quickly, festival slots followed, and a U.S. tour with Kesha showed they still know how to handle a crowd that’s ready to move.

This is Why We Will Buy Hyde Park Tickets

For all the talk about setlists, eras, and possible surprises, the real reason any of this works is much simpler. Strip away the visuals, the production, the deep cuts and the hits, and you’re left with four people who still play off each other in a way that feels instinctive rather than rehearsed.

“The chemistry between us is still the thing you can’t fake,” said Roger Taylor. “That’s what people feel when we play live.”

And that’s the secret sauce, isn’t it? Plenty of bands can recreate a sound. Very few can recreate a dynamic push-pull that makes Duran Duran timeless.
