Amber Le Bon Welcomes Baby Sasha And Simon Becomes a “BOOMBAH” Again

We’re excited to announce that another Le Bon is making his debut! Amber Le Bon, the model extraordinaire and daughter of Simon and Yasmin Le Bon, has officially joined the “parent club” with her boyfriend Ben Mercer on January 30, 2025. They’ve welcomed a brand-new mini Duranie into the world at London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. His name is Sasha Echo Le Bon Mercer and he weighed in at a respectable 7lbs 6oz.

Amber couldn’t be more thrilled with her little one. She’s totally obsessed – and honestly, so are we. “I keep looking at him and think, ‘How on earth am I ever going to do anything again?’ All I want to do is cuddle him and smell him,” she told Hello! Magazine in an exclusive interview.

Meet Glambaby Sasha Echo

Amber said that she has always known her son was a “Sasha” from the moment she laid eyes on him. The middle name, Echo, was inspired by Greek mythology. ‘We had two names on our shortlist and when he came out, I said, “I think he’s a Sasha”. I’ve always loved that name.”

After an intense 40-hour labor (we feel you, Amber!), Amber had the support of her two favorite people: Ben and her Yasmin. Ben was the one to cut the cord, and when they placed little Sasha on Amber’s chest, she was in complete shock – but in the best possible way. The tears flowed, and she couldn’t believe her new tiny human was finally in her arms.

She said Ben was ‘brilliant’ during the delivery, which she said took place while sound effects of a thunderstorm played on a set of speakers.

Amber first announced her pregnancy last year in a series of photos on Instagram. “Swipe to the end for a big surprise,” she teased—and boy, did she deliver! The final photos showed Amber lovingly cradling her baby bump, absolutely glowing with joy.

Grandpa? Papaw? What do the grandkids call Simon?

Sasha now becomes the newest addition to the Le Bon family and their ever-growing estate, joining his cousins, Arturo (born June 6, 2018) and Skye (born September 21, 2019), the children of Amber’s sister Saffron. With Simon stepping into his role as glamfather to three, and Yasmin by his side, there’s little doubt that little Sasha will be enveloped in the same warmth, elegance, and joy that define the Le Bon legacy. Between Simon’s rock-and-roll charisma and the family’s unmistakable sense of style, Sasha is bound to grow up surrounded by unforgettable moments and a lifetime of love.
